What is the difference between Red Cedar and Hemlock?
Purity Sauna only uses high quality Canadian Red Cedar and Canadian Hemlock which is carefully stored, cared for, and properly kiln dried prior to being made into planks at our manufacturing facility. Red cedar is a highly durable with inherent insulating qualities, and considered more aromatic and darker color than Hemlock. As some individuals are allergic to Cedar, Hemlock offers a great alternative at a lower cost. Hemlock is lighter in color than Cedar, but retains strength and is also highly resistant to warping. Hemlock is odor-free, 100% hypoallergenic, and non-toxic.
